Srixon XXIO irons are the 9th generation of XXIO irons and they combine distance with forgiveness thanks to a new 5-piece head construction.
The five piece multi-material head structure is based around a SUS630 steel cast body to which a face made from a stronger low-density titanium is
added.
The sole of the club features a separate tungsten-nickel weight and the final two parts are inner weights made from a high-density tungsten-nickel that are placed in the toe and the heel of the club.
The titanium face has been expanded towards the sole of the club to enhance COR performance on the lower part of the face, which is where the
average golfer tends to impact the golf ball. This significantly improves carry distance for off-centre shots to improve consistency.
The nickel weights incorporated into the sole, inner heel and inner toe of the longer 4-7 irons produce a head with the lowest centre of gravity in any
XXIO iron, as well as a high left-to-right MOI that combine to aid launch and increase carry distances on off-centre shots.
As with the XXIO9 metals club head speed for the irons is increased by using lightweight high balance shafts to naturally help golfers maintain
wrist-cock longer and increase speed into the ball.
