The aim of the new Taylormade Spider X Midnight Blue putter is to optimise the stability of the putter whilst also improving alignment for every golfer.
In order to optimise the stability in the new Spider X putter, Taylormade have re-engineered the mass properties of the head with a new steel frame, weighing 320g combined with a 15g carbon composite core. This new head is 30% heavier than in the previous Spider Tour model, increasing MOI and reducing twisting in the head. The increase in MOI makes it easier for you to start your ball on its intended target line.
The new Spider X putter range also benefits from redesigned back weight ports, consisting of 6g weights. The result of this redesign is a putter head that is more stable than any other in the Taylormade line-up. This increase in stability makes it easier for every golfer to put together a consistent, repeatable putting stroke on the golf course.
The face of the new Spider X Midnight Blue/White putters is composed of Taylormade's PureRoll insert. This insert is created with a soft polymer and 45 degree grooves which increase the amount of topspin transferred to the golf ball on impact, reducing skid and improving forward roll on every putt.
The Taylormade Spider X putters are fitted with a SuperStroke GTR 1.0 putter grip, creating a classy, unique finish, meaning not only will the putter perform on the golf course but will look great in your bag.
